MDT Strives to become the “Best and Most Reliable"

I have a goal. I would like to see MDT Direct be the “best and most reliable” marketing and advertising agency servicing the private postsecondary education sector. That doesn’t imply being the biggest. I mean the best!

To me, that suggests consistently delivering outstanding service to our clients.  It means keeping a close eye on detail, generating creative that pinpoints a school’s demographics, and delivering expert advice based on accurate data tracking and analysis. It also means providing the most up-to-date products and services that give our clients the tools in which to grow strong. Ultimately, it means consistently meeting and exceeding expectations in everything that we do.

I recognize that this is a lofty goal that will be challenging to achieve, but it is one that I take very seriously and to which I am completely committed.  At the very least, MDT Direct’s pursuit to be the best and most reliable advertising agency in the education sector will make everyone better off: our clients, their graduates, and the communities that gain a more educated and better trained workforce.

So what makes me think MDT can become the best and most reliable? Simply put, the foundation of a great organization is it’s people… and MDT Direct is comprised of some of the smartest, most versatile and honest people that I know. I can truly say that there isn’t a company anywhere that has a better team. When you combine this with a sincere willingness to service our clients and great products and some of the best technology platforms in the market, I believe that we have a true shot at being number one.

I posed this challenge to our employees sometime in June and was very pleased with their comments. Several of our divisions felt that MDT was already the best and most certainly the most reliable. Still, everyone acknowledged that there is always room for improvement.  The best part of their feedback in subsequent meetings was their sincere belief in this goal and their commitment to work each day towards this effort.  As a company, we recognize that excellence is an ongoing pursuit.

Now I didn’t want to fool myself into believing our own rhetoric, so I asked the COO of one of our largest clients what he thought of my goal.
He told me that if we gave our other clients the service and support that we gave him and his company that MDT Direct was one of the best right now.

Today, we devote half of our weekly management meetings to the discussion of being the best and most reliable marketing and advertising agency in the sector. Each manager discusses their team’s progress in regard to their current initiatives and results. Each of us has begun plugging up holes that we see, improving systems, updating our standard operating procedures, developing new products, and enhancing the services that we already offer.

Will all of these efforts make MDT Direct the “best and most reliable”?
